Immune Vitamins vs Body Invaders Part 2

Micro-organisms come in a wide assortment of shapes, sizes, and colors. There are literally thousands and thousands of them.

Your body actually uses a lot of them in its daily operation. As you already know though, many of these little fella's are round-the-clock threats to your health. Here's a line up of what you’re up against - day in and day out:

1. Bacteria - are single celled microorganisms (e.g.bacilli, cocci, spirochaetes, and the vibrio). When deadly bacteria go undetected or aren't destroyed by your immune system, they can develop a protective coat, then go into hibernation ... waiting for the right moment to come out and "play."

One of the most deadly bacteria is E.coli which will kill you, if your immune system, fortified by immune vitamins, doesn't get it first!

2. Viruses - are significantly smaller than bacteria requiring a host (your body) to survive. Since they have protective coatings, these invaders are more of a challenge to your immune system to destroy.

After a virus invades your body, it targets some of your cells. In Western law courts, these invaders would be charged with "breaking and entering" because that's exactly ... what they do to your cells.

After they've broken in, they take control of your cells machinery ... to reproduce themselves (not good). One of the most "common" viruses is the Rhinovirus which causes major problems in your nose and throat. Isn't that exciting?!

The virus that has everyone’s attention currently is called inappropriately Swine Flu. Unfortunately, the attention that’s been placed on this virus has people trembling in their boots. Besides taking your immune vitamins regularly, there are other practical steps you can take to ensure you don’t have to deal with this potential threat. More on that later.

3. Prions - like viruses, also require a host (that's you again) to survive. They're smaller then viruses (if you can imagine that). Are they dangerous? Remember ... Mad Cow Disease?

4. Lichens - are kind-of a "joint-venture" organism. They're made up of two entirely distinct organisms. They're able to function and survive through this unique relationship. A "good" example of a lichen would be a fungus growing with an alga. Sounds sweet, doesn't it?

5. Yeasts/molds - fall into the "fungi" category.

6. Parasites - are those terrible little things that simply love to feed off and live in your body. Wood ticks (gross), hookworms (disgusting), the head louse, and mosquito are examples of parasites.

7. Protozoa - are single celled animals that usually live in water (that you could drink).

8.  Amoebas - creep, crawl, shrink & bloat depending on their liquid environment. One of the worst pathogenic amoebas causes meningitis.

These invaders are part of what your immune system is fighting against as you go about your normal day breathing, eating, drinking, and living. Day-in and day-out, your immune system is working strong on your behalf IF you keep it nourished.

One of the best ways to do this is to regularly re-supply your body with immune vitamins. Doing so will ensure that you stay healthy.
